Rice Puff
- Boil rice with some salt.
- Take out the starch.
- Mix with chopped onions and green chillies.
- Make different shapes like balls, cubes or any other forms that younger children may find interesting.
- Dry them for a few hours to let the water evaporate.
- Take besan and mix with chilli powder, salt and turmeric powder.
- Add water to make a thick paste.
- Coat rice puffs in the mix and shallow fry until brown.
- Serve with red chilli, garlic and peanut chutney.
Pulses Based Indian Snack for Kids
- Soak the dal your child prefers overnight.
- You can also take a mix of them.
- Drain and grind in a mixer.
- Add some besan.
- Mix very little red chilli powder, green chillies, salt and coriander leaves.
- Make tikkis of the mixture and shallow fry them.
- Mix some ground peanut paste and curd.
- Saute some onion, garlic and jeera.
- Add the tadka to the curd and peanuts mix.
- Serve as a side to your dal tikki.
Fruit Salad with Honey
- Take 3-4 favourite fruits of your child.
- Chop into small pieces.
- Mix with cream and let them rest for some time.
- Pour very little butterscotch syrup and lots of honey over it.
- Top with cherries, raisins or some other dry fruits.
- Serve chilled to your child.
